Hotel Report August 2020
Performance Analysis: July 2020 in Some Major Destinations in Germany
There is no perfect strategy for the current situation. As a result, it increases the uncertainty in planning, which can only be dealt with good and detailed information.
We have therefore decided to skip the summer break of our Hotel Report this year, to evaluate Fairmas benchmark data as usual. We want to share with you, our readers, the performance figures from last July 2020 and the forecasts for the coming months until October 2020.
Predicting the trend is still very difficult. It is a question of how companies will act after the end of the holiday season. Will business travel take place again and if so, at which level? That’s a question that some surveys are trying to answer at the moment.
Looking at the calendar of events there are certainly a few trade fairs taking place – although the trade fair announcements are often referred to with the words “online” or “hybrid”.
Find out how the hotel industry in Hamburg, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Frankfurt, and Munich fared in July and what the forecasts are
On average and nationwide, the hotel industry was able to close July 2020 with an occupancy rate of 38.3%, an average room rate of € 87.80 and a RevPar of € 33.70.
Stay healthy and enjoy the summer – despite the heat.
